Brooklyn Bridge Park

Unlike some city parks in New York region that were built to simulate rustic greenery, Brooklyn Bridge Park has a charm of its own. The riverside park has plenty of attractions for visitors from diverse age groups, as it is. It is one of the newest parks and the inauguration was in 2012. Flushing Meadows-Corona Park

The fourth largest public park of NYC, located in borough of Queens is also referred as Flushing Meadows. It has the famous USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, which houses the U. S. Open tennis tournament. The other notable attractions of the park are Queens Museum of Art and the Queens Wildlife Center. There is a skate park and boating lake as well.

Hudson River Park

This beautiful 550-acre waterfront park extends from Battery Park to the 59th Street, thus offering visitors ample space to walk or skate while enjoying the riverside view. You may enjoy watching the kayak rides and youth sports events while relaxing on the grass.

Pelham Bay Park

This park, located at the Bronx borough's northeast corner, is actually the largest public park of NYC with an area covering 2, 772 acres. It is almost three times larger than the famous Central Park and you will need plenty of time to explore its various parts. The major attractions of this park include Pelham Bay Golf Course, Orchard Beach and Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum. At the park's southeast area, you will find baseball fields, picnic area, biking trails and area for kids. You may enjoy horse rise at the park's Bronx Equestrian Center. Nature lovers will find solace in Thomas Pell Wildlife Sanctuary which houses wildlife species including egrets raccoon and hawks.

Central Park

Possibly the most thronged and famous park in NYC, Central Park witnesses millions of footfalls around the year. It is an area where you will never be short on entertainment and recreation options- including horse carriage ride, boating, exploring wildlife etc. It also houses several entertainment programs and events at certain times of the year. Its open air ice rink is another major attraction for visitors.
